PhDr. Mgr. Tomáš Málek
Clinical Psychologist, Therapist, and Supervisor
For over 15 years, I have primarily worked with individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring severe mental health conditions, including personality disorders, psychosis, and eating disorders. My experience spans both social services (Sananim, Bona) and healthcare settings (Psychiatric Hospital Bohnice, Apolinář at the General University Hospital in Prague, Nákel Adolescent Clinic). I work with both adults and adolescents.
In my therapeutic practice, I draw upon experiential, person-centred approaches, including Satitherapy, Katathym-Imaginative Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Sandtray Therapy, Psychodrama, Process-Oriented Psychology, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
As a lecturer, I focus on motivational interviewing, addiction issues, dual diagnoses, and trauma.
I believe that in helping professions, the therapist or coach is their own most essential tool. Therefore, I continuously invest in both my professional development and personal growth through movement practices (Tai Chi, Qi Gong), meditation, expanded states of consciousness (holotropic breathwork, psychedelic experiences), and life itself—friends, family, and travel.
